Late realisation

I never realised, until now, how vast the US actually is - it's 3100 miles (better known to the world as 4960 km) from Boston to San Francisco. Check it out. It's really mind-boggling.

To-do list before graduation: Drive from Boston to SF. Perhaps right after graduation. Even though I live near Chicago. This is too interesting to resist! Any takers?

..and write a book about it.

how you 'discovered' yourself in the trip across the continent.

Sort of like Kerouac, you mean? I'd love to do that - and then write a book like 'On the Road.'

Hi there, I live on the East Coast. Well, kinda. I'd love to do a group trip across the US. As long as someone else drives!

ranjani -

I hope to be able to get a license by the time I graduate in 2009, but driving on the wrong side of the road seems a bit difficult.

But I agree with you that you'd need at least one other person to split the driving. 3100 miles is no small joke.
